Neo Dinornis (Blue Chicken) [Pod Morph]
Scientific Name: Neo Aves Paleognathae Galliformes
A genetic cross between the common chicken and extracted the (pre-Fall) extinct giant moa. First designed as a food stock for Martian ranchers, the Neo-Dinornis was colored blue to stand out against common martian soil color. The morph's impressive land speed made it a favorite for racing, but ultimately it proved too large for its environment to sustain. The design languished until resequenced for a pair of 3-fingered hands and arms by Neo-Avian supporters.
The Blue Chicken is an enormous (3.7 meter tall) avian morph with broad flightless wings and a startling variation of blue plumage, combs, and feet. Large blue-black talons on the feet combined with its long legs and stance give it superior running speed over most bio- and pod-morphs. Most Neo-Dinornii are female.
